Phantom at Sinclair’s Gully

Kathy Snape

Sinclair’s Gully at Norton Summit successfully combines wines with eco tourism and music, all in a spectacular setting of candlebark gums.
Kathryn Snape performed at Sinclair’s Gully during the recent Fringe and will be returning in April for two performances of ‘Phantom in the Forest’.
The first, on Friday April 2, has already sold out, and a second has been arranged for April 3.
Sinclair’s Gully owner Sue Delaney said the response had been amazing, so she decided to present a second concert.
A coloratura soprano, Kathryn began performing at the age of five in her native Yorkshire. After coming to Australia with her family, she was classically trained by State Opera soprano Rae Cocking.
Kathryn comes from a very musical family – her father being principal cornettist for the English Black Dyke Brass Band and musical director for the Kensington and Norwood Brass Band. Kathryn also played the cornet and flugel in bands until she was 21, then concentrated on her singing.
The performances at Sinclair’s Gully will include such favorites as ‘Music of the Night’ and ‘Nessun Dorma’.
Pre-performance drinks will be served from 7pm at the cellar door and the performances commence at 8pm. Patrons are advised to dress warmly.
Bookings are essential, on 8390 1995 or wine@singlairsgully.com
